The hamburger (or often called a burger) is a kind of bread-shaped bread that is sliced ​​in half and filled with a patty usually made from meat, then vegetables in lettuce, tomatoes and onions. As a sauce, burgers are given various types of sauces such as mayonnaise, tomato sauce and sauce and mustard. Some burger variants are also equipped with cheese, pickles, as well as other complementary ingredients such as sausage and ham.
The origin of Hamburger.

There are several versions of the history of the creation of a burger, this snack is originally a typical food of the Tartars, which is a minced meat eaten raw with orange juice. The Tartars are a nomadic nation that often travels long horseback riding, so the flesh they carry often becomes hard and unworthy of consumption, so they outsmart it by putting the meat under their horse's saddle. after a long trip it turns out the meat is still warm and does not become cold, then the meat is eaten with no cooking and only given a little lemon juice.

The famous delicacies from Central Asia were then brought by European sailors to their country, precisely to the city of Hamburg because the people there generally assume that they are a civilized nation, they refuse to eat meat that is not cooked, then the meat is typical of the Tartars they cook first before eaten by burned or fried, it turns out this dish is very liked by various people. Until now some people still prefer to eat it raw. This is the origin of burger meat.

As for the hamburger that we know the present form, which is the form of meat eaten with bread, comes from America, the immigrants from Hamburg introduce their burger meat to the Americans. There meat is named Hamburg Steak and this meat is still eaten like a steak.

According to the residents of Hamburg, New York, an area named after the city of Hamburg in Germany, this food was discovered by two brothers from Ohio, Frank and Charles Menches, according to legend, they are street food vendors who sell sandwiches, because one day they ran out of sausages, so they used minced beef instead of sausage for the contents of their sandwiches. And the use of this beef was well responded by their customers.

American Hamburgers Edit

According to the Seymour History Society in Wisconsin, they name Charlie Nagreen as the creator of hamburgers. Charlie Nagreen's name is now synonymously called "Hamburger Charlie". He sold a sandwich stuffed with meatballs when he was 15 years old at Seymour Fair in 1885. Because the sale was less successful, he found out why, because customers can not walk around while eating, he flattened the meatballs he sold and put them between slices of bread, it turns out this is successful and able to attract the attention of consumers, because Hamburg Steak dish is very popular then, Charlie Nagreen also gave the name Hamburger at the confection of his findings. Since then he always returns annually to Seymour Fair to sell hamburgers, until his death in 1951.

According to the American Library of Congress and the Connecticut Government, the first hamburger was sold in 1895 by Louis Lassen at his restaurant, Louise's Lunch in New Haven, Connecticut, New York Magazine suggested that initially this food was unnamed, until some seafarers from Hamburg stopped at the restaurant and named the menu hamburger.

A Texas historian Frank X. Tolbert stated that the invention of hamburgers was done by Fletcher Davis of Athens, Texas. He believes that Davis started selling hamburgers at his stall in Athens since the late 1880s, and introduced hamburgers to St.Louis Fair in 1904.

Burger in Indonesia
There are some Indonesian entrepreneurs who work on local Indonesian burgers that are more familiar with the tongue of our society, among them Blenger Burger with their Cheese Burger mainstay menu, there are also Klenger Burger, and Edam Burger successfully penetrate the Middle East market.

HAMBURGER
Hamburger (atau seringkali disebut dengan burger) adalah sejenis makanan berupa rotiberbentuk bundar yang diiris dua dan ditengahnya diisi dengan patty yang biasanya diambil dari daging, kemudian sayur-sayuranberupa selada, tomat dan bawang bombay. Sebagai sausnya, burger diberi berbagai jenis saus seperti mayones, saus tomat dan sambal serta mustard. Beberapa varian burger juga dilengkapi dengan keju, asinan, serta bahan pelengkap lain seperti sosis dan ham.
Asal mula Hamburger.

Ada beberapa versi dari sejarah penciptaan burger, penganan ini awalnya adalah makanan khas bangsa Tartar, yaitu berupa daging cincang yang disantap mentah-mentah dengan perasan jeruk. Bangsa Tartarmerupakan bangsa nomaden yang sering melakukan perjalanan jauh menunggang kuda, sehingga daging yang mereka bawa sering menjadi keras dan tak layak konsumsi, maka merekapun mengakalinya dengan meletakkan daging di bawah sadel kuda mereka. setelah melakukan perjalanan jauh ternyata daging tersebut masih hangat dan tidak menjadi dingin, maka daging tersebut langsung disantap dengan tanpa dimasak dan hanya diberi sedikit perasan jeruk nipis.

Hidangan yang terkenal lezat dari Asia Tengah ini kemudian dibawa oleh para pelaut Eropa ke negaranya, tepatnya ke kota Hamburg karena masyarakat di sana pada umumnya mengganggap bahwa mereka adalah bangsa yang beradab, mereka menolak memakan daging yang tak dimasak, maka daging khas Tartar tersebut mereka masak terlebih dahulu sebelum disantap dengan cara dibakar atau digoreng, ternyata masakan ini sangat disukai berbagai orang. Sampai saat ini sebagian orang tetap lebih menyenangi menyantapnya mentah-mentah. Inilah asal mula daging burger.

Sedangkan untuk hamburger yang kita kenal bentuknya sekarang, yaitu yang berupa daging yang disantap dengan roti, berasal dari Amerika, para imigran dari Hamburgmemperkenalkan daging burger mereka ke orang Amerika. Di sana daging ini diberi nama Hamburg Steak dan daging ini masih disantap seperti layaknya menyantap steak.

Menurut para penduduk Hamburg, New York, sebuah kawasan yang diberi nama seperti kota Hamburg di Jerman, makanan ini ditemukan oleh dua bersaudara dari Ohio, Frank dan Charles Menches, menurut legenda, mereka merupakan penjaja makanan di pinggir jalan yang menjual sandwich, karena suatu hari mereka kehabisan sosis, maka mereka menggunakan daging sapi cincang sebagai pengganti sosis untuk isi dari sandwich mereka. Dan penggunaan daging sapi ini ternyata ditanggapi dengan baik oleh konsumen mereka.

Menurut Komunitas Sejarah Seymour di Winconsin, mereka menyebutkan nama Charlie Nagreen sebagai pencipta hamburger. Nama Charlie Nagreen sekarang identik dipanggil "Hamburger Charlie". Ia berjualan sandwich yang diisi dengan bakso saat ia berusia 15 tahun di Seymour Fair pada tahun 1885. Karena jualannya kurang sukses, ia menemukan sebabnya, karena pelanggan tidak dapat berjalan berkeliling sambil makan, maka ia memipihkan bakso yang dijualnya dan meletakkannya di antara irisan roti, ternyata hal ini sukses dan mampu menarik perhatian konsumen, karena hidangan Hamburg Steak amat populer saat itu, Charlie Nagreen pun memberi nama Hamburger pada penganan temuannya itu. Sejak itu ia selalu kembali tiap tahun ke Seymour Fair untuk berjualan hamburger, sampai saat kematiannya pada tahun 1951.

Menurut Perpustakaan Kongres Amerika dan Pemerintahan Connecticut, hamburger pertama dijual pada tahun 1895 oleh Louis Lassen di rumah makannya, Louise's Lunch di New Haven, Connecticut, Majalah New Yorkmengemukakan bahwa awalnya makanan ini tak diberi nama, hingga saat beberapa pelaut dari Hamburg singgah ke restoran itu dan menamai menu tersebut hamburger.

Seorang sejarawan Texas Frank X. Tolbert menyatakan bahwa penemuan hamburger dilakukan oleh Fletcher Davis dari Athens, Texas. Ia percaya bahwa Davis mulai menjual hamburger di kiosnya di Athens sejak akhir tahun 1880an, dan memperkenalkan hamburger ke St.Louis Fair pada tahun 1904.

Burger di Indonesia
Ada beberapa pengusaha Indonesia yang mengusahakan pembuatan burger lokal khas Indonesia yang lebih akrab dengan lidah masyarakat kita, di antaranya adalah Blenger Burger dengan menu andalan Cheese Burger mereka, selain itu juga ada Klenger Burger, dan Edam Burger yang sukses menembus pasar Timur Tengah.

Di Indonesia juga ada variasi tempe burger yang menggunakan tempe sebagai pengganti daging pada burger, dan burger batok, sebuah burger yang dimasak dengan cara dikukus dalam batok kelapa, sehingga membuat aroma dan rasa khas yang nikmat.

Alasan saya memilih makanan ini untuk bahasa Inggris karena, saya sangat menyukai Hamburger. Dan Hamburger bisa menambah masa otot bagi siapa yang memakan nya, kerena banyak kandungan protein di dalamnya.
